With over 25 years of volunteer children's ministry experience I have to say that during that time one of my greatest joys comes from knowing that boys and girls are"getting into" God's word and are excited about it! They are learning about a relationship with Jesus and are accepting Him as their Savior.
I accepted Jesus as my personal savior as a 9 year old child. It is my desire to see other children come to know the Lord as their Savior.
Studies have shown that the most likely ages children will accept Christ as their Savior is between the ages of 4 and 14.

We must never think of the Awana Club here at Redeemer as...
"Just another Program".....

This is a ministry that touches many lives in many ways, our time together is a vital moment of connection, it's a discipleship time, it's a bonding time. It's a special time that kids have with other kids, that adults have with other adults, that leaders have with their clubbers, that we all have with the families that we see and connect with each and every week. These boys and girls are learning about a relationship with God, accepting Jesus as their savior and are hiding His word in their hearts...you see...This is far from "Just another Program" and personally I am filled with joy, and it warms my heart to be a part of this wonderful ministry experience.

Our mission and our goal here at Redeemer's Awana Club, from Cubbies to Truth and Training, is to "Reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him."
